Final project-Microcredit

Microcredit is the extension of very small loans to impoverished borrowers who typically lack collateral, steady employment and a verifiable credit history. It is designed not only to support entrepreneurship and alleviate poverty, but also in many cases to empower women and uplift entire communities by extension. Microcredit is part of microfinance, which provides a wider range of financial services, especially savings accounts. Critics argue, however, that microcredit has not had a positive impact on gender relationships, does not alleviate poverty, has led many borrowers into a debt trap and constitutes a "privatization of welfare". But despite this criticism, the microcredit has made a huge impact on several countries in Asia and Africa.

The idea of this final project is to give credit of this new type of loans to help people who are through a difficult economic problem, especially in Spain where several people are losing their homes and jobs.

How to edit a video for class

The aim of this post is to describe the importance of how to record and edit a video for the blog of the subject. This is a very important part because since we continue developing new technologies, it´s quite important to transmit an idea with your video, in fact it is the thing you are supposed to and the better looking it is, the better.
Recording:The first observation to make is that there is free material available to any UEM student at B building for recording the video, such as cameras, microphones… You can hire the material for ¾ days without any permission.

Another important point that it has to take into consideration is the quality of recording, the better the best. You also have to learn some basics about record and how to focus on what you are recording, where is the best place, the light….
Edition:
First of all, one thing that we have to be sure is that the better you record the less you edit. The edition part could take you from hours to days.
Firstly you will need a program that converts formats to another(included in some computers), without losing a lot of quality. These programs are free to download from the internet.

Secondly you will need is an edition program, there are lots of them so you will have to find one that is easy for you (Ex: windows movie maker, or ones that are included in macs). This would be a vey important part because can make the hell of editing to a very pleasant walk.

The importance of teamwork.

Teamwork in the workplace offers the company and staff the ability to become more familiar with each other and learn how to work together. There are several ways in which teamwork is important and vital to the success of the company and to the development of each employee..
Delegation
A team that works well together understands the strengths and weaknesses of each team member. One of the benefits of strong teamwork in the workplace is that team leaders and members become proficient at dividing up tasks so they are done by the most qualified people. Without strong teamwork, it can be difficult for managers and executives to determine which staff members can best accomplish job tasks.
Efficiency
Work groups and teams develop systems that allow them to complete tasks efficiently and quickly. When a task is handed to a well-trained and efficient team, the team's work pace assures that the task will be completed quickly and accurately. Each team is well aware of its own abilities and the groups can work together effectively as opposed to disjointed groups of employees who may not be familiar with how to work together.
Ideas
Teams in the workplace often meet to discuss how to solve company issues. When a team works well together, it allows staff members to feel more comfortable in offering suggestions.
Support

Work group members can help each other improve their performance and work together toward improving their professional development. Team members also come to rely on each other and trust each other. These bonds can be important when the team faces a particularly difficult challenge or if the group is forced to deal with the loss of a team member while still trying to maintain productivity.

Assertiveness is probably the key factor to reach an effective communication. It is profitable for all those who apply it. You never leave behind your objective but at the same time you can listen the other and try to reach an agreement. It is the half way between a passive attitude and an aggressive one. Many people cannot understand this concept well. Apart from the theoretical part, the best way to practice a skill is by applying it constantly. Now we can see a video a with leant techniques such as: the broken record technique, the fogging one, the basic assertation, the emphatic assertion, the consequence assertion, the discrepancy assertion and the negative feeling assertion.

Prezi presentations.

What is a prezi presentation?
Prezi  is a presentation tool that can be used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Instead of slides, Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows you to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas and emphasize the ideas presented there. Prezi supports the use of text, images, and videos and also provides a collection of templates to choose from to help new users get accustomed to the interface.
Here is a video by the prezi company explaining why choosing prezi in your presentations rather than other methods.

PechaKucha.org

PechaKucha or Pecha Kucha  is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (six minutes and 40 seconds in total). The format, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced, powers multiple-speaker events called PechaKucha Nights .

PechaKucha Night was devised in February 2003 by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Tokyo's Klein-Dytham Architecture as a way to attract people to SuperDeluxe, their experimental event space in Roppongi, and to allow young designers to meet, show their work, and exchange ideas.
This PechaKucha format is frecuently used to make a breif and concise presentation in order to get to the receptor as many information as possible.

Accenture workshop

In this trimester, the 12th February at UEM campus, we have the opportunity to assist to a workshop organized by Accenture. So yo may be thinking what is Accenture? Here is a video explaining...
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj6wv204Kpo

In our case,as a first year student of engineering  the workshop was about effective communication . In this workshop we listened to some members of Accenture Spain explaining how to make an effective communication and why is it so important.

This workshop was not just a way to learn something about communication, it made us the opportunity to know a big company such as Accenture and maybe in a future work with them.
